Re-designing your garden's planting areas
The re-design of existing planted areas is something I am often asked to do. There can be many reasons why clients find this such a useful service. Garden change over time. What was once an open and sunny space can become one with shady areas as trees and plants grow, creating areas in which current plants no longer thrive. Tastes in planting change and sometimes a new look is needed. Children and pets arrive on the scene, gardeners get older and can manage less, or people move house and find that the planting in the new garden has been neglected, or is not quite what they want.
I have a wide plant knowledge and personal experience of growing most of the plants I recommend, so I can suggest more unusual varieties where they would be suitable, or tried and trusted varieties where maintenance is to be minimal.
